Age- Twenty-three
Where are you from?- I am currently based out of Montreal
Your equipment- I own about 20 cameras, but most of them are collectibles. I shoot primarily with a Mamiya 67, but I just recently started up with a Minolta Autocord. For more casual shoots I use a Canon EOS 650 and I always carry an Olympus Stylus in my bag. When I shoot digitally (which is very rare) I use a Canon 50D. I have various lenses but my knowledge surrounding them doesn't extend beyond knowing which looks best for what subject matters. I'm not a gear snob whatsoever, and I think people who are are ultra lame. Maybe I would be a better photographer if I cared more about super specific stuff like that, but right now I'm much more focussed on subject and concept. I also shoot polaroid a lot, so when I do I use a vintage SX-70 or Spectra camera.
Influences and photographers you like- Diane Arbus, Chelsee Ivan, Claudine Doury, Mike Brodie, Lina Scheynius, Jonathan Edwards, Nan Goldin. There are so many people who are or have done amazing work in this field, it's overwhelming is more ways than one. Personally I much more inspired by things”.
A little about you- I'm tall for a girl. I grew up in southern Alberta and it completely shapes my work, even though now I live on the opposite side of the country. I'm really not a city girl at all, but as far as cities go, Montreal is truly amazing.
