Age- 29, turning 30 on November 4th
Where are you from?- I was born in Cassia, a small town in Brazil, but now I live in Sao Paulo.
Your equipment- I use mostly a Nikon D7000 with 24mm and 35mm lens. But I also use an analog Nikon N6060, a Fuji Instax, a Polaroid 600, a Diana Fand other plastic cameras... a Flexaret 6x6 and a Mamiya M645.
Influeneces and photographers you like- My main influences are Sao Paulo-based street photographer Carlos Moreira, with whom I've studied, and others such as Harry Gruyaert, Saul Leiter, Alex Webb, Gueorgui Pinkhassov, Boris Savelev, Guy Bourdin... and Lee Friedlander.
A little about you- Well, I'm basically a dedicated amateur photographer, and I’ve been photographing more seriously since 2009. I still have to work at daytime as a journalist at a press agency to pay my bills, and I’m a bit lazy about promoting myself and contacting curators and galleries, so I’ve never been in a show, and I seldom sell prints. I really enjoy all the ritual of street photography, being in the crowd, discovering new neighborhoods or details I hadn’t noticed before, waking up very early to get the finest light, etc. I hope I’ll keep this excitement till I get old and retire from my regular jobs to dedicate only to photography. Now and then I’m contacted by people via Flickr and featured on websites, which pleases me a lot. I’ve made two attempts on publishing a Blurb, though there are still some mistakes in these editions: www.blurb.com/my/book/detail/2566769
