Your equipment- Nikon D300 when I want speed, and a Mamiya RB67 when I want time.
Influences and photographers you like- I am most influenced by film. Directors like Paul Thomas Anderson, Lars von Trier, Stanley Kubrick inspire me to find the cinematic in the everyday. Photographers that I admire are Richard Misrach, Brian Ulrich, Daniel Shea, and, every once in a while, Gregory Crewdson.
A little about you- I love the horizon and hate tungsten light. I enjoy a good book and long bike ride. I am about to lose my day job but I think it is time for a change anyway. I wouldn't consider myself an optimist, but I have a good feeling about the future.
