Name- charlotte boeyden (It always feels unjust to write my name with capitals)
Age- 21
Where are you from?- I am floating in between Belgium and the Netherlands you could say. I am now studying/living in Holland, but I still consider Antwerp to be my hometown.
Your equipment- All my latest photos were taken with a Canon Ftb and a Canon 50mm lens. I've recently started using some Cokin photo filters and I am making peace with a Braun flash. I have (access to) a lot more cameras and lenses but these are really my favorites.
Influences and photographers you like- I think I am quite influenced by photographic work in alternative fashion magazines. I really have a thing for fashion photography, as long as it is not too clean. Movies have a great influence on my work too. And cities. And faces. Basically I think that I am influenced by any image that has ever surrounded me.
As a child of the digital era, I discover new work of great photographers all the time. But to name a few of my favorites: Sophie van der Perre, Jeff Luker, Stephanie di Giusto (especially her movies), Lina Scheynius, Roberto Rubalcava.
A little about you- I am a dreamer. I always have been, but ever since I started photography about a year and and a half ago, I found a way to translate that into something tangible. I feel intrigued by the mesmerizing power of a girl in a picture. There is just something unexplainable about it, and it is that power that lead me to photography in the first place.
