Name- Chad Mathew Siddall
Where are you from?- Woodstock, ON Canada.
Your equipment- Canon A-1, Nikon D50, Polaroid impulse.
Influences and Photographers I like- A lot of my influence in photography comes from watching a lot of movies. I have a tendency to make my photographs very cinematic and I definitely plan to get into cinematography later on in life. Rodney Smith is a master; his photo’s have such a modern feel but the subjects are so vintage at the same time. Makes me smile. Valeria Lazareva is also a favourite of mine, her photo’s are so raw and so awesome.
A little bit about you- I got into photography about 6 years ago when I first started attending high school. In grade 11 I bought my first 35 mm Canon A-1 from a friend of mine in Civics and Careers class. I started taking photo’s with it on and off but was getting annoyed with how much it was costing me. My dad in turn bought me a Nikon D50 which I started taking photo’s with constantly. A few years later during my first semester at Humber College in Toronto I pulled out my 35 mm once again and started snapping photo’s. When I got them developed I was so excited with how well they turned out and even just the quality of the photographs I have hardly put it down since. Now I have more 35mm photographs than I do digital and I like it that way.
