Age- 32
Where are you from?- Macau, via Montreal and now New York.
Your equipment- Canon mark II, Pentax 6x7 and Yashica.
Influences and photographers you like- Ahh, there are so many to name. I learn a bit from everyone, the good and the bad. I guess my favourites are William Eggleston, the filmmaker Tarkovsky, Rinko Kawauchi, Robert Pollodori, Alec Soth. Music also inspires my work. I was photographing to a beach house song the other day and had a quiet moment to Hans Zimmer. We are so visually bombarded, when you switch to the auditory stimulation it really helps the imagination. Yet lately, I've found silence to be the most helpful.
A little about you- I am from a little pennisula called Macau and moved to Montreal when I was 11. For 10 years, my main base has been New York. Though I have a yearning to settle, I also contradict this desire by moving around. This year I have been spliting my time between New York and London. Before that, New York and Paris. I think i will make a decision as to where home is, maybe this year? It is my life's biggest dilemma, also the main focus of my work: Love, home and all things around it.
